Drawn in by the bottle

January 13, 2018

I don't know about you, but I'm drawn in by great looking bottles! Recently one in particular caught my eye. The glimmering 24 carat gold, the skull, the matte black bottle all had a certain mystery about it. I was drawn in that's for sure.

It wasn't a product I had seen or heard of before, but was so different to many of the products I have seen on the market.

Mesmerizing I think is a word I would use to describe it.

This is Belgian born Gin produced by the Massey family has it right in so many ways, I wouldn't in any way describe it as having a traditional gin flavour, in fact the juniper just lingers in the back seat hiding respectfully behind a complexity of great flavours.

Bitter coca leaf, sweet dragon fruit, subtle papaya and mysterious tamarillo prove in my mind to be a winning combination, they have balance absolutely spot on.

Gin enthusiasts wanting a truly unique gin to add to their collection I highly recommend this. Its slightly more expensive than most, but I assure you its well worth every penny.

If you want to find out more about the history definitely check out the website https://www.amuerte.com/ its just as interesting as the drink itself.
